Smoke-free news flash
--Tony and I often go to Katie's cafe in Bruce for their veggie omelet.  It is the best.  Today one of the regulars was smoking in the middle of the dining area and off to one side was a family with babies.  I have done this only once in my life before, but I very gently asked her to be aware of whether small children were in the restaurant and to please smoke at the bar area where the smoke is more easily diverted away from the tables.

Well, it went okay, but more interestingly, the waitress came over after a while to tell me she was asked to tell me the restaurant is going smoke free on May 1st.  I have been on a campaign there for a few years, eating outside on the picnic tables in the summer to avoid the smoke, writing a letter, talking to the waitresses.  So----if you stop in there, be sure to comment!!  --tell the waitress or write on your ticket a thanks for going smoke free!!!
